GraphVix Group Invited Talks

Welcome to GraphVix invited talks. We will regularly invite experts in Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence fields to share their fantastic work. We will try to livestream the talk at Youtube.

Title: Computational Circular Design
AIGC
Dr. Adrien Bousseau
Centre Inria d'Université Côte d'Azur
generation
Date and time: 3pm, June, 26, 2025
Abstraction: Circular design aims at expanding the lifespan of industrial products through repair and reuse. But designing products by reuse raises significant new challenges for designers, as they not only need to define the shape and functionality of the product they want to create, they also need to find ways to achieve these design goals by reusing parts of existing products. In this talk I will present our initial attempts to develop computational tools for designing by reuse.
Title: Finding Effective Representations for Structured 3D Generative Models
AIGC
Mr. Yilin Liu
UCL and Autodesk
generation
Date and time: 2pm, June, 23, 2025
Abstraction: Robust 3D generative modeling requires representations that capture both geometric and topological information. This talk introduces two recent frameworks: a diffusion-based B-rep generator that encodes points, curves, and surfaces in a structured latent space, and an attention-driven wireframe model that learns continuous representations of geometry and connectivity.
Title: Structural understanding in 3D
AIGC
Dr. Jiepeng Wang
TeleAI, China Telecom
generation
Date and time: 2pm, June, 9, 2025
Abstraction: Structural understanding in 3D is crucial for robust perception and generation, as objects are composed of parts and scenes can be represented through texture, geometry, and semantics. In this talk, we present three works—Structured Shape Modeling, MetricSolver, and Multi-modal Generative Understanding—that capture part-level structure, metric-consistent depth, and unified multi-modal representations.
Title: Interpreting Drawings for 3D Design - From Drawing Techniques to Algorithms
AIGC
Dr. Adrien Bousseau
Centre Inria d'Université Côte d'Azur
generation
Date and time: 11am, June, 4, 2025
Abstraction: Bring the power of 3D engineering tools to the creative phase of design by automatically estimating 3D models from drawings. Our originality is to exploit drawing techniques that provides geometric constraints that help viewers understand drawings, and that we shall leverage for 3D reconstruction.
3D-aware Video Generation with a Graphics Pipeline
AIGC
Dr. Yuan Liu
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
Date and time: 2pm, April, 22, 2025
Theme: Recent research about 1) precise and highly realistic 3D reconstruction for both static objects and dynamic scenes; 2) diffusion generative models in 3D asset creation; 3) video diffusion techniques to facilitate the production of high-quality videos.
